| Comment: | I have been looking for my birth mother ELLEN MARIA FLYNN d.o.b. 13/10/1938. She was a ward orderly at St Francis Hospital Beckenham, Kent. then at an old peoples home doing night work and also an office cleaner prior to my birth on 13/01/1963. The last known address i have for my mum is 12 Palace square, Upper Norwood.SE 19. Her mother was Mrs Joyce who was married to her second husband who worked as a porter in flats.
I was named MARY PATRICIA FLYNN before being placed for adoption.
All i know of my father is that his name is John White, he was not aware of my mothers pregnancy. He worked as a builders labourer, aged 27 blonde hair and 5ft 10ins.
They met at a dance in Beckenham and seperated again after a short time.
I really need to find my mum or any of my family, to put the jigsaw together and find out who i am.
Anybody with any information please please get in touch. I am a nanny now and my family would love to meet there family as much as i would. Thank you.

She gave birth to a baby girl on the 9th February 1956 in Clatterbridge hospital on the Wirral. She named the baby Mary and kept her at home for 6-7 weeks before giving her up for adoption. She at the time had another little girl aged about 4 at this time, I dont know her name but she would be my half-sister. The adoption was legalised in August or September 1956 at Strangeways Court. I am also looking for someone, who I believe had a connection with your birth mother. If you were born Bernadette Dalton and lived at the home for unmarried mothers on Broom lane in Salford then you were at the home when my grandparents came for my father and your birth mother was my father's sponsor at his baptism. I believe that your mother and my father's birth mother were friends.
I would love to hear from you because we may have information that could help each other with our searches, but also because my grandparents always wondered what happened to Bernadette and hoped that she was adopted to a good family.
