Comment:	I would like to start by giving a great big thank you to Shane and his wonderful wife for make any of this possible….. after 3o yrs they have reunited me with my birth father !! I tried for many years and also hired other agencies to find my birth father all with out success. I thought for sure I would never find him, but I did not want to give up, one night surfing the web for any clues advice ect.. I found the website for search line I had a strong feeling about them but because I had been let down in the past I was a little reluctant to call them. after giving it a little more thought, I promised my self that this would be the last time to try to find him as I could not keep putting my self though the heartache. I reside in America, so I thought for sure once the company knew this they would just string me along, but to me it was worth taking the chance because I needed closure when I called search line I spoke to Shane. he was very truth full from the beginning and told me that because the name was very poplar it would be like looking for a needle in a hay stack !! so needless to say I was not very hopeful, but after about six months I got the phone call I had been praying for (they found him) after I sent my birth father a letter he called me, some how by the grace of god when the phone rang I knew it was him as soon as I answered the phone I said “ I have been waiting for you to call: and in reply he said” I have been waiting to hear your voice for 30 yrs “ he told me that he remarried and that I have six siblings and that they wanted to talk to me as he told them years ago about me ect… for me to hear that it was like the icing on the cake. after talking on skype for a few weeks ,they came to America to visit me, we had a wonderful time. mashallah.

After almost 2 years searching an extremely complex web of connections, I had assumed my birth mother had died, and with her any hope of finding my birth half brothers and sister. Then two weeks ago the phone call came from Lesley at Searchline telling me that my birth mother had been found. After 45 years, I've now spoken to my birth mother and half-sister and hope to meet up in the next year. ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU CHANGED SEVERAL PEOPLES LIVES FOR EVER.

Comment:	Lesley, my mum introduced me to my sister. OMG!!! I didn't think I had the capacity to love like this. She flew from London to Atlanta so we could spend a week together. I am so proud of her. Though we had different childhood experiences, today we have similar family values. We look alike and love each other's family. I still hope to meet my YOUNGER brother that still doesn't know about me. So there is still much to be worked on in terms of our family unity, but there is a real foundation with the relationships that I have with my mum, my sister, her four children, her husband, and her husband's family.

Comment:	Yesterday our family life changed forever.I have craved contact with my first born son for 40 years.I know that I could have instigated search proceedings myself,and believe me this was such a very hard thing not to do.I felt that I should be available to him if ever he should want to find me,and so I registered in various places and waited.2 weeks ago I posted a message to him on Searchline.Yesterday was a particularly bad day and when I logged onto my E mail account up pops this message from searchline.My reaction was eccastic,shaking,and crying but oh so very grateful that he was alive and well.That's all we birth parents can wish for ,that our children have good lives.Thank you all at Searchline for forwarding the e mail you received from my son and this particular family will be eternally grateful.

Comment:	I would just like to thank Lesley, for making my life whole. After years of searches for my natural mother (we were separated at my birth in 1947) with little success, I approached Lesley at Searchline. Her friendly, reassuring response gave me confidence to forward what information I had. Then the phone call from Lesley - “I am 99.9% certain that I have found your mother”. I plucked up the courage to phone my mother and spoke to her for the very first time in my life!! Three days and 150 miles later we met and I had the surprise of also meeting my newly gained two half-brothers. I am very happy to say that the meeting went very well and we shall meet up as often as we can. With all my thanks once again to Lesley for giving me my roots!

Comment:	Just wanted to say that thanks to you, I am in regular contact with my birth mum, she and I are tearful when we meet and part every 6 months, but I am so grateful to you for making this possible. My adopted mum is very important to me as she has brought me up all my life, but my blood mum is like a sister to me as there is only 19 years difference between us. My birth mum has met my adopted mum and they are getting along fine - so glad that I contacted yourselves and thank you so much for this. i would recommend anyone who is nervous or uncertain to go for it, it has made a huge difference to my life and I will always praise Searchline for what they have done for me. Comment:	We have been searching for 6 years for our Birth Daughter and Son who where adopted 16 years ago and for the last 6 years we have followed lead after lead but all came to a dead end and was starting to think we would never find them. Then we found an advert on searchline in October 2007 from our Daugther and sent an email to Lesley to forward on to her which she did (Thank You Lesley). 2 days later we had our first contact with our Daughter via email the first contact for 16 years which blew us away we was so overcome with emotion. We have since been getting to know one another via email and pictures. We met up for the first time on 2nd January 2008 where she met her youngest sister for the very first time and the meeting went really well although some what emotional We are now planning more meetings for the future. So we would like to say a very very big thank you to Lesley for passing our email on to our Birth Daughter and bringing our family back together again it is very much appreciated So for all other people still looking for someone Please don't ever give up if you love them keep going the internet is bigger and better than you think and alot of people out there do care and help you find the person your looking for and searchline is just one of them. Comment:	Hi I have always thought that these message websites were a long shot in my search for my birth mum, dad and little sister, but they are not..... I posted a message on Search line in February 07, the following October my birth sister came across it and my birth dad made contact after a 16 yr seperation and an 8 yr desperate search on my part. I am now getting to know them over e-mail and met up with them last week and all is going extremely well. I am even getting to know my little sister who i never knew existed until 3 months ago! Please do not give up hope, searchline and other websites like it, DO WORK, so keep trying :-)

Comment:	If you are considering using searchline to find someone consider no more. Within days of giving Lesley details of my biological mother she had found her. Even though she had changed her name from the one on my birth certificate and moved away from the area Lesley found her. I am now waiting for help from a social worker to contact her, but if it wasn't for searchline being so quick I would have been pondering her whereabouts til the end of time as I could't find her alone. Living where I do now, which is not on the English mainland I found looking for records hard, and the internet only goes so far. So thanks to Lesley and the team, they truly are wonderful people and I'll never forget their help.

Comment:	Dear Gwen, I'm thrilled to tell you that contact was made with my biological relatives last weekend.The family sound very friendly and eager to meet me and most of them still live in London. I really wanted to thank you because you actually found my birth mother and her husband Joe ,and of course he knew nothing of my existence, but his wife was in hospital at that time so I could not speak to her,but you had found my mother. Comment:	If ever you wanted to find more friendly and caring people to help you trace your roots then look no further. 20 years ago I started to search for my birth mother but at the time found it too emotionally difficult. Early January 2007 I contacted Shane and Lesley for the first time and provided them with the certificates I collected back in the late 80's. Within days I received a call advising me that they had traced my birth mother. Unfortunately it turned out that she had died some years earlier. However with persistence they continued to search which culminated in a phone call last night to my brother (who I never knew about). He informed me that I actually have 3 brothers! Albeit early stages of relationship building we are all looking forward to meeting up in the near future. Many many thanks to Shane and Lesley for all the support during the past few weeks.
